Founded in 1919 by Kent Beekeepers as a local beekeeping journal, the publication expanded rapidly, with thirteen Associations contributing their news and experiences by 1928. Today, Beecraft is owned by 49 Local Associations across the UK, which hold shares in Beecraft Ltd. The organization operates primarily as a non-profit entity dedicated to serving the interests of its member associations and the wider beekeeping community.
